NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (AP) – A North Kingstown man has died after being pulled from a house fire.
WPRI reports that the fire started in a two-family hours shortly before 1 a.m. Monday.
Fire officials say crews found an unidentified man on the first floor. He was declared dead at a local hospital. Two firefighters also were taken to the hospital with unspecified problems.
A family with young children was living on the second floor and got out safely.
Investigators and the state fire marshal are investigating.
