Known Buddy Cianci critic Pat Cortellessa says the claims that he assaulted a Cianci volunteer at a debate are a fabrication.
Cortellessa told WPRO’s John DePetro that the plaintiff Christine Roy assaulted him and that others in the room colluded with her and resulted in his arrest.
DePetro said Cortellessa’s statement match those of other witnesses including Republican candidate for Mayor Dan Harrop.
Cortellessa said once his name is cleared he will press charges against Roy for filing a false police report.
