House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi visited Rhode Island Monday to take part in a roundtable discussion at the Rhode Island School of Design.
The discussion was hosted by Congressman David Cicilline, and was followed by a tour of the RISD campus.
“I want to say how proud I am with David Cicilline and earlier with Congressman Langevin,” Pelosi told WPRO. “They are valued members of Congress.”
During the conversation, the Congress members emphasized the importance of growing Rhode Island’s economy through innovation and technology.
“It was about education, it was about cost of doing business, it was about public-private partnerships, it goes across the board in a collaborative way in order to keep America number one,” she said.
In addition to her public event today, Pelosi will take part in a private fundraiser for Cicilline tonight at the Biltmore Hotel. Tickets start at $250.
