BLOCK PARTY: The 3rd annual Cinco de Mayo Block Party is the perfect way to celebrate with the whole family. Located on Westminster Street between Eddy & Clemence from Noon to 6 p.m., this party will have a veritable feast of food trucks and outdoor bars. A Mariachi band, DJ, and the Rock ‘n Roll Yard Sale will all be present at this party, as well as activities for kids.
FREE TACO BAR: Snookers Sports Bar will be holding a Cinco de Mayo party Sunday that coincides with the grand opening of their new patio. This event will have photo booths, prizes, games. DJ Judah will start the party at 4 p.m., and a complimentary taco bar will be offered from 4 to 7 p.m..
FREE MUSTACHES: Ladder 133 Bar & Grill is hosting their annual Cinco de Mayo bash starting at 11:30 a.m Sunday. There will be a complete Mexican menu, as well as the debut of Ladder’s Fresh Fruit Margarita menu. Ladder will also be providing free mustaches and sombreros to help people get into the Cinco de Mayo spirit.
AUTHENTIC MEXICAN EXPERIENCE: Foxwoods’s Scorpion Bar is holding its own celebration from Noon to 10:30 p.m. Sunday. This authentic Mexican cantina will be offering appetizers and drinks for just $5 until 5 p.m.. Scorpion Bar’s well known Mexican-inspired cuisine will be served all evening.
