Alright ladies, ready to get inspired? If you’ve ever thought to yourself, “Self, I wish there was a place I could go where I could meet other young professional & fun ladies with an entrepreneurial spirit…” then look no further!
The PVD Lady Project is a non-profit organization that hosts bi-monthly events where women in and around Providence can network, discover what amazing things other women have been up to, and ultimately inspire one another. Plus, each event benefits a local organization or charity that is either run by women or benefits women in our community.
The brains behind this operation are Julie Sygiel, founder of Dear Kate, and Sierra Barter of Clementine Lime. These creative ladies decided it was time for fabulous like-minded women to be able to connect in fun & interesting settings. They’ve hosted events at some of Providence’s best spots, including The Dorrance, The Providence Athenaeum, and Local 121.
I recently had the pleasure of attending the PVD Lady Project’s Get in Gear for the New Year event. For $25 we got to attend either a yoga or 305 Fitness dance class, followed by a delicious brunch at CAV Restaurant where we took part in a goal-meeting workshop from Believe I Am. I had an awesome workout, met some amazing people, and went on my way feeling like I could take on the world.
Most events are open to the public, but you also have the option of becoming a member, which give you benefits like getting your logo or name on their website, invites to member-only events, your own events listed on their member calendar. And get this – the fee is only $35 for the whole year. Click here to learn more about becoming a member.
