Swansea police are investigating an alleged “sexting” incident between teenagers at Joseph Case High School.
Sexting is a term most often used when a person takes sexually explicit photographs of themselves and sends it by text or email to the phone of another.
Police say they received a complaint from the Swansea School Department several days ago. They say the case involves teenagers, all minors under the law so the investigation classifies it as a confidential crime protecting those involved.
Officials say this case has led investigators to believe that the issue is more widespread than thought on its initial report. Because of this, the case will require time to complete the investigation.
Joseph Case High School declined to comment.
