After saying she was too busy, Governor Gina Raimondo says she will read former candidate for Governor Ken Block’s report on fire district expenditures in Rhode Island.

On March 27, Raimondo said in an interview with Channel 10, said she was too busy running the state to read the report; however three days later she said she was open to reading Ken Block’s findings.

“You know there’s so many reports and I do my best to get to as many as I can; it sounds like this is an important one so I’ll try to get to it,” said Raimondo.

Block reacted to the Governor’s initial statements on the WPRO Morning News with Gene Valicenti saying he gives the governor a pass because of her hectic schedule.

Block’s report says Rhode Island pays too much for fire protection when compared to larger districts in the country.
